When I first met Mandy what struck me was her powerful ability to light up a room through her positivity and zest for life. Then I heard her speak and was blown away not just by her intelligence and maturity, but by her passion to educate and motivate young women into being strong and empowered individuals through a variety of strategies and thought processes.
Mandy Kota is the CEO & Founder of Flourish Girl. Mandy is an ex-speech pathologist, TEDx Speaker, Model and an Australian Accredited Facilitator. Having worked with organisations such as Game Changers, The Rites of Passage Institute, Stand Up and Little Dreamers Australia, Mandy has impacted the lives of thousands of young people across Australia and the world.
Mandy's passion originated from being a speech pathologist, where she empowered children with a range of communication disorders to find their voice. Towards the end of 2016, Mandy found that the rate of depression, anxiety and eating disorders amongst teenage girls were on a rise and it was in that moment that she found herself shifting her passion and focus towards giving teenage girls a voice.
Nourish to Flourish: In this presentation Mandy will discuss the key issues of comparison, social pressures, body image and perfectionism that effect all young females growing up. Mandy will create a fun, nourishing and supportive environment for teenage girls to become the women they truly want to be!
Throughout her presentation Mandy will raise awareness of her charity of choice which is Flourish Girl and she will donate at least 10% of her speaking fee to Flourish Girl.
